3 Underrated Hair Products I Swear By

Since I’m getting married this summer, having good hair has been on my mind a lot lately. But “good hair” means different things to different people. When I think of my hair goals for my wedding, it’s all about hair health. I want my hair to look healthy and hydrated above all. There are so many products that are well known for being great and are talked about a lot on social media – the Dyson hair products, the Oribe line, and who could forget, the Revlon One Step (I still haven’t tried it! 😱 ). But there are also others that are completely underrated which is why I wanted to share the 3 Underrated Hair Products I Swear By.

These products may show up on social media less, but they’re just as great. I love a great find, so I wanted to share the love. I hope you find a new hair product you love!

3 Underrated Hair Products I Swear By

Microfiber Hair Towel

I’ve had this microfiber hair towel for years and I can’t go without it. You’re probably wondering, what’s so great about this hair towel?! Since it’s made of microfibers it dries your hair much faster than a traditional towel, plus it helps to eliminate frizz. A win-win in my book. I highly recommend for those who have thick hair that takes a long time to dry. This cuts my air dry time in half! Worth it. 👌🏻

It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product

I’ve heard about this product for years but have been apprehensive to purchase because it’s a little bit on the pricy side for a drugstore hair product. I’ve had terrible tangling in my hair since I had highlights back in November – fellow blondes, you feel my pain. I think it’s the bleach?! Anyways, up until I purchased this (it really is a miracle like the name says!), I had been using a different leave in conditioner every time I washed my hair, and it was not cutting it. To be honest, I felt like it did nothing?

We went to Florida a couple weeks ago for my cousin’s wedding so I knew I needed something better since I would probably be in the pool and my hair would need some extra love. Plus, I’m trying to avoid hair breakage for my wedding. I used this It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product at home for the first time before we went and I was SO impressed. It really is worth every penny, plus it smells great! My hair usually combs out terribly – even after using a lot of conditioner. With this leave-in conditioner, I had no issues combing out my hair – it was like butter. I highly, highly recommend.

Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector

First, a confession – I’ve owned this product for quite a while and it sat in my cabinet unused. I’m not exactly sure why? If you think of a traditional hair mask (almost as a conditioner) this is a bit untraditional. You apply this to wet hair before shampooing and conditioning, then let it soak into your hair for at least 10 minutes (I usually do 30 minutes). Then you rinse out and shampoo and condition your hair as normal.

I recently found out that applying a hair mask before shampooing and conditioning your hair is actually better for your hair, so then this mask started making sense to me. I got my hair highlighted around Thanksgiving and my hair had been feeling really damaged after. When I say this changed my hair after two uses, I’m not kidding. It looks like a small bottle, but I have thick hair and I estimate I’ll get 5 uses out of it – not terrible! If your hair is thin/shorter, you could likely get 7+. I try to use this at least once a week and will definitely purchase another bottle once I’m out and use up until my wedding.
