How to Wrap Your Own Bouquet

Name someone who doesn’t love flowers, and I’ll tell you they’re crazy! Flowers are truly one of life’s little pleasures. They brighten up a room, smell amazing, and can instantly make a room look more put together and stylish. However, the majority of us probably don’t have flowers in our homes and apartments unless they’re a gift (Men: take note 😉 ) or are hand picked from the backyard. There’s something about flowers that just make you feel good- so ladies, buy them for yourselves more often (or for your mom, grandmothers, aunts, or friends and you will absolutely make their day).

A trend I absolutely love that I’ve been seeing a lot recently – bouquet bars! Unfortunately no yummy drinks at this kind of bar, but first, let me explain to you guys. Many events are now allowing guests to take home the event’s flowers by setting up a “bouquet bar” with pretty paper, ribbon, and of course, beautiful flowers. Guests then leave the event with a beautiful handmade bouquet as a party favor. Tiffany & Co. recently did this for events they held in their stores.

I couldn’t help thinking that a “bouquet bar” would be a wonderful addition to an engagement party, birthday party, rehearsal dinner, baby shower, and so many other events! Today I’m showing you guys how you can spruce up grocery store flowers by wrapping them into your own bouquet of flowers that are a perfect gift or pick-me-up for a loved one.

How to Wrap Your Own Bouquet

Items Needed:
-Flowers
-Paper of your choice (I like using brown wrapping paper because I almost always keep some in stock, and to me it looks classic)
-Ribbon or twine (optional)
-Scissors
-Clear tape

How to Wrap Your Own Bouquet

1. Start by cutting paper into a rectangle to fit the ideal size of your bouquet.

2. Fold the paper in half, but at a slight angle so that the edges don’t match up (I know it feels so wrong, but just trust me).

3. Fold the left half of the paper over the top of the flowers and tuck it in underneath the flowers.

4. Complete the folding by then folding the right half of the paper over the top of the flowers.

5. Secure with tape (on the back where it isn’t seen).

6. Optional: Wrap ribbon or twine around the base of your bouquet and tie in a bow.

Note: I like the stems of my bouquet to hang out just a little bit, but you can completely enclose them in the entire bouquet (just depends on what you like the look of).

I love to wrap my own bouquets too, this is super cute. The slight angle while folding the wrap makes a huge difference.

I LOVE the Idea of a bouquet bar! You can decorate for the event and then send home with the guests, how adorable!

I love to buy myself fresh flowers all year long, I always pick out varieties and arrange rather than pre made bouquets so this is heaven to me!
